Staff Development Fund

NCUC offers Research and Scholarly Activity (RSA) Grants to support HE staff in developing impactful research and enhancing academic practice. Allocated competitively on an annual basis, these grants enable staff to pursue conference participation, publication, project development, and engagement with research networks and training.

Priority is given to applications that align with institutional strategies, such as improving student recruitment, retention, and results; supporting staff CPD; fostering collaborative partnerships; or enhancing teaching through research. Successful applicants are expected to present their work at the annual HE Staff Conference and produce tangible outputs proportionate to the level of funding received.

RSA Grants reflect NCG’s commitment to building a research-engaged teaching culture and advancing innovation, student partnership, and academic excellence across our higher education community.
