Student Publications
At Newcastle College University Centre we believe your research matters and we want to help you make the initial steps into publishing. We have two in-house journals that each showcase the outstanding work undertaken by our students each year. By submitting to our journals, you can demonstrate the importance of your work, gain valuable employability skills, and start to build your own research profile.
Student Publications
Seven Bridges
Seven Bridges is our student-led journal, which has a range of different disciplines featured in each edition. NCUC students can submit their work (which received a mark of 65% or above) to be reviewed by the Seven Bridges Editorial Board. Successful submissions are then published in Seven Bridges. This is a great opportunity to get your work published and show this on your CV!

Get in touchFolio
Folio is a student-led magazine that showcases the amazing artwork from NCUC's digital and creative industries. Submissions are based on recommendations from course leaders, making it a great way for staff to celebrate your work and showcase the talent on your degree course!
You can get involved with Folio as a contributor, editor, or designer. Both the editor and designer positions are paid fellowships, open to any student studying an Art and Design or Digital Arts course at NCUC. These positions are available from January and run from February to October each year.
Want to learn more about Folio? Get in touch with the RSE Team for further information.
Canny Scran
Canny Scran is our student-led magazine from the students studying Culinary Arts at NCUC. Articles published in Canny Scran range from what the students have learned in their taught sessions, like how to temper chocolate, to different trips to local restaurants and abroad. Additionally, there are tasty recipes that you can try out yourself!
