Student Fellowships
Student Fellowships are a great way to enhance your degree studies, boost your CV, develop valuable employability skills, and make a difference – all while earning a bursary!

Subject Specific Fellowships
These fellowships are run by staff from different areas of NCUC and take place alongside your academic year, from September to May. You'll be given tasks that help you build your skills and look great on your CV. The available fellowships change each year.
In the past, students have managed social media for their courses, worked with the digital marketing team at Newcastle College, and promoted their courses to Level 3 students, among other exciting projects!
Look out for future subject-specific fellowships, which will be advertised in the summer term through Microsoft Teams and posters around the college.
Community Fellowships
Community fellowships are supported by the RSE team and run at different points throughout the year. They include opportunities like joining the Inclusivity (360) Council, organising events like the Graduation Ball, or being part of the Editorial Board for one of our student magazines. The tasks vary depending on the role.
Like the subject-specific fellowships, these are a great way to gain employability skills, add valuable experience to your CV, and make a real impact here at NCUC. We advertise community fellowships throughout the year on Teams and with posters around campus, so keep an eye out!

Ad Hoc Fellowships
Ad hoc Fellowships are short-term roles that pop up throughout the year. These could include taking photos at events, helping out at open days, or supporting staff with managing events on the NCUC calendar.
We recruit ad hoc fellows as needed via Teams and on staff recommendation, but there is also a chance to register your interest in these positions throughout the academic year by contacting the RSE team!
