About the Research and Student Engagement Team

The RSE Team

Supporting Staff

The Research, Scholarship, and Engagement (RSE) Team at NCUC provides tailored support to academic and professional staff engaged in research, scholarly activity, and pedagogic development. Whether you're applying for internal funding, seeking guidance on ethical approval, preparing for HEA Fellowship, or developing a publication or conference paper, the RSE Team offers advice, mentoring, and practical resources to help you progress.

We also coordinate the Research Culture Action Plan (ReCAP), run training sessions, and maintain tools like the RISE Toolkit and Research Handbook to embed inclusive, impactful, and sustainable research practices across all curriculum areas.

Supporting Students

For students, the RSE Team helps open doors into research and scholarly life at NCUC. We coordinate opportunities such as Student Researcher roles, the Student Fellows programme, and publishing in student-led journals or blogs.

We also support inclusive engagement through initiatives like the Inclusivity Council, research awareness sessions, and student voice projects.

Whether you’re on a master’s, PGCE, or undergraduate programme, we’re here to help you get involved in research - not just as a learner, but as a valued contributor to the academic community.
